Tracy R. Hunt

Tracy R. Hunt, 57, of Dugger, passed from this life on June 27, 2024, at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, on January 13, 1967, to Jerry D. Church and Micki E. (Hopkins).

Tracy was a schoolteacher with Dugger Union Community Schools (DUCS).

Family left to cherish memories of Tracy include her mother, Micki Church; son, Jeromy (Tayler) Hunt of Linton; daughter, Jessica (Benjamin) Wood of Terre Haute; granddaughter, Haven; two brothers, Tim (Margaret) Church and Troy (Leslie) Church; two sisters, Tammy (Don) Young and Tanya (Scott) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Church, and her grandparents.

A Dugger Bulldog through and through, a Celebration of Life will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on July 13, 2024, at the Union Dugger High School Gym. The family is following Tracy’s wishes for cremation.

Tracy was passionate about her Dugger School Community and advocating for those surviving domestic violence. Keeping this in mind, memorial contributions may be made to Dugger Union Community Schools or CODA Emergency Shelter, 26 S 17th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807.
