Richard Dwayne Jewell

Richard Dwayne Jewell, 61, of Lyons, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his residence.

Born September 30, 1962 in Louisville, Ky., he was the son of Shirley Roscoe and Dora Mae (Niceley) Jewell.

Richard was a jack of all trades, but most recently worked in maintenance for Open Arms.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Angela (Briner) Jewell, whom he married December 24, 1987; his children, Maria (Dave) Jewell-Renn, Freddie Jewell, Erick Steele, Justin (Becca) Jewell, Tonya (Aaron) Beck, Shannon Lewis and Stephanie Baker; his grandchildren, Alexia and Will Renn, David, Jerimiah and Jefferson Jewell, Ethan Steele, Dakota Giles, Amara and Archer Kelly, Andrea (Chase) Gress, Tre Blanton, Caleb Beck, Kenzie and Maddie Baker and Andrew and Abigail Lewis; his mother, Dora Mae Jewell; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Annabelle Gress, Eli , Hazel and Raylee Blanton; siblings, Terry (Mary) Jewell, Sandy Hawkins, Vicki Weakley and Robby (Deanna) Jewell. Several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Keith Jewell; a brother, Randall Lee Jewell; his father, Shirley Roscoe Jewell and a brother-in-law, Richard Hawkins.

Public visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Ridgeport Community Church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the family of Richard Dwayne Jewell.
