LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one fraud, two assists to the utility department after hours, one alarm, two animal complaints, one assist to another agency, two harassment complaints, one reckless driver, one welfare check/concern, one 911 prank or false call, one battery and three traffic stops.

* Jan. 12 -- Daniel Rodriguez, 53, Linton, was driving a blue 1974 GMC pickup truck around 9:12 p.m. on State Road 54E near Park Rd. when an officer initiated a traffic stop for failure to yield right-of-way and an equipment violation. The police report states that upon having dispatch run a BMV records check, the officer learned that Rodriguez was driving while suspended with a prior conviction for driving while suspended. Information has been forwarded to the Greene County Prosecutor's Office. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the investigating officer.
