The outcome left both teams with 5-3 records.
Cloverdale led 16-15 after the opening eight minutes and then forged ahead 60-41 at the end of three quarters. The Clovers hit nine 3-pointers.
The 74 points allowed is a season-high for Eastern Greene.
Cloverdale shot 61 percent from the field (28 of 46) while the Thunderbirds hit at a 48 percent clip (25 of 52).
"We have to make adjustments defensively," said Eastern Greene coach Andy Igel. "We are not as good at defending against the dribble as I thought we would be."
Brandon Moon hit six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 26 points.
"We have given up nine threes two games in a row. We have to do a better job of shortening the court in the halfcourt. The good thing is that all of these things are correctable," said Igel.
Zach Ingram scored a season-high 11 points to pace the Thunderbirds. Tyler Igel and JT Yoho each added 10.
Eastern Greene won the junior-varsity game 43-25, its seventh victory in eight games.
The Thunderbirds will be off until Wednesday, Dec. 30 when they play at West Washington.
