Wabash Valley Classic tickets available

All-tournament passes for the 10th Annual Pizza Hut Wabash Valley Classic boys basketball tournament will be available at the door.

Passes, which are good for all 28 games of the tournament being played at Terre Haute North High School from Dec. 26 through December 30, are $17.

Tickets will be available at the door for $6 each day of the event.

WRV basketball change

The WRV at Mitchell girls basketball game will be a varsity-only contest at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.

**Shakamak changes

Shakamak High School has changed its boys basketball schedule in January.

The Lakers will play at North Daviess at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15 and then they will play at Marshall, Ill. at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.

Greene County Invitational

Tickets for the Greene County Invitational boys basketball tournament at White River Valley High School will be available each day of the tournament, starting Tuesday, Jan. 5 and running nightly through Saturday, Jan. 9.

Tickets cost $5 for each session.

EGHS change

Eastern Greene High School athletic director Trevor McConnell has announced a change to the junior varsity boys' basketball schedule.

The junior varsity contest was reset for Jan. 2 prior to the Bloomington South game against Lexington Catholic.

The start time for the game has not yet been set, but according to McConnell it will be either 5 p.m. or 6 p.m.

Pictures, results welcome

The Greene County Daily World encourages area sports youth coaches or parents and elementary and junior high school coaches to submit pictures of your teams for publication as well as your game results.

Pictures should include identification information about all players and coaches as well as any other info about the team's accomplishments.

Pictures can be e-mailed as pdfs to hargisbj@yahoo.com or to sportswriterrick@yahoo.com. Actual photos can be dropped off at 79 S. Main St., Linton, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Photos can be picked up after they are published.

Results, including first and last games and any information, can be sent to the same addresses.
