Thelma Ruth Marshall Meeks

Thelma Ruth Marshall Meeks, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away Dec. 13, 2009.

She was born May 1, 1915 in Indianapolis to Floyd Gilbert and Viola Greenwood Marshall.

She worked as a head cashier for GC Murphy for 25 years in Linton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Alvin Meeks; son, Floyd Meeks; daughter Barbara Peck; three brothers, Gilbert, Loren and Charles Marshall; and sister, Matilda Dudley.

Surviving are her daughters, Roseann McHenry; eight grandchildren, Jeff McHenry, Jon Peck, Jim Peck, Jill Williams, Julie Hopkins, Jennifer Wilson, Jeanne Peck, Jana Zweck; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St.

Visitation will be at the Mortuary from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16 with Burial in Antioch Cemetery, Dugger.
