Union (Dugger) hands out fall awards

Union (Dugger) High School honored their fall sports athletes during ceremonies conducted earlier this month.

Gage Camden was named the recipient of the Joe Alumbaugh Award while Trent Collins got the nod for the Bon Hickman Award and Seth Gambill was handed the Iron Man Award.

Camden also received the Most Valuable Offensive Lineman award while Gambill and Adam Morrill shared the Most Improved Player Award.

Frank Boyd was named the Most Valuable Defensive Lineman while Dustin Howard was named the Most Valuable Offensive Back and Jesse Lipscomb the Most Valuable Defensive Back.

In varsity volleyball Jessica Davidson was named the Most Valuable Player. She also received the Highest Serving Percentage Award.

Audrey Morrill picked up two honors as did Conner Kendall.

Morrill was given the plaque for Most Kills and Most Blocks while Kendall earned the award for Most Digs and Most Aces.

In cross country, Jake Phegley was named the Most Valuable Runner.
