SW7 announces 2009 football awards

The Southwest Seven Conference announced its football award winners for the 2009 season.

Conference winner North Daviess took home the two coveted individual awards as Ryan Webster was named Offensive Player of the Year and Jano Davis was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

North Daviess had a 6-0 record while North Knox and Linton-Stockton both finished 4-2. Eastern Greene was 3-3 in league play while Union (Dugger) and Wood Memorial each finished 2-4. North Central finished 0-6.

There were nine players that earn all-conference academic honors, including Linton-Stockton's Stefan Sparks and Evan Magni; North Daviess' Thomas Farris; Wood Memorial's Keagan Akles; Eastern Greene's Wes Carter and Jeremy Newman; North Central's Denver Bailey; and North Knox's Dylan Caballero and Jonathan Blann.
