WRV awards

The White River Valley Jr.-Sr. High School Fall Sports Awards Program is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 in the school cafeteria.

SW 7 Banquet

The Southwest Seven Conference banquet is planned for Monday, Nov. 7 at the Linton-Stockton High School auditeria.

The meal will be at 7 p.m. with awards presented for the 2009 football season at 7:45 p.m.

Bloomfield girls to scrimmage Saturday

The Bloomfield Lady Cardinals will host Vincennes Lincoln in a preseason scrimmage at Glover Gym, Saturday at 6 p.m.

The public is invited.

Hoop scrimmage Wednesday

The Northview at Linton-Stockton girls basketball scrimmage will now be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Originally this event was set for Saturday.

Miner Pride Passes

not accepted Friday

Linton-Stockton athletic director Charlie Karazsia would like to remind Miner football fans that Miner Pride Passes will be not accepted for all Indiana High School Athletic Association tournament events, including Friday's North Daviess at Linton-Stockton Class A Sectional 40 championship football game.

Tickets will cost $5. Kickoff at Roy Williams Field is set for 7 p.m. Friday.

Pictures welcome

The Greene County Daily World encourages area sports youth coaches or parents and elementary and junior high school coaches to submit pictures of your teams for publication.

Pictures should include identification information about all players and coaches as well as any other info about the team's accomplishments.

Pictures can be e-mailed as pdfs to hargisbj@yahoo.com or to sportswriterrick@yahoo.com. Actual photos can be dropped off at 79 S. Main St., Linton, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Photos can be picked up after they are published.
