"I'm not sure if they will only do the most needed projects on all of the houses or only rehabilitate some of the houses that had been designated for improvement," noted Porter.
Porter also presented the council with the results of the yearly inspections of the Lift Station that were submitted by Graves Plumbing Company. The report indicated that there were no major problems.
A notice to owners regarding an overgrown yard on Charlotte St. was picked up, Porter said, but there has been no response.
The council announced that the Switz City Liquor Store is moving across the street to the Hartland building and also welcomed the new café in town, Creamy Cup, that is located across from the White River Valley High School.
Water Superintendent Joe Graves and Sewage Superintendent Dave Fish reported that there were no problems in their departments.
The council also welcomed two visiting Boy Scouts to the meeting. One Scout from Troop 464 in Bloomfield said he was working toward an Eagle Scout rank and another Scout from Troop 407 in Lyons said he was also working toward another merit badge.
