The first Health Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Center Township Fire Dept. located in Little Cincinnati -- just east of the new Eastern Greene High School.
Monroe Hospital will provide free flu shots for Medicaid/Medicare patients at all three o the events. For all other patients, there will be a $15 charge.
Greene County Ambulance will provide free blood sugar checks, fingerprinting and a variety of awareness materials. Health care professionals from dentistry to chiropractic care will also dispense a variety of free items that are used day to day for health purposes.
Lunch will be served at each event with Center Township kicking off with chicken and noodles.
The second Health Fair is hosted by Owensburg-Jackson Township Fire Dept. at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 with an Italian themed luncheon including spaghetti and meatballs. The fire station is located on the east end of Main Street in Owensburg.
Eastern Fire Department at Solsberry will host the final fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov.7 at the fire station, located on State Road 43 in Solsberry.
Chili will be served for lunch.
To ensure that all residents have the opportunity to receive a flu shot and health care, the three fire departments are providing free transportation to people who do not have transportation available.
