Gambill's time of 16 minutes, nine seconds was good enough to pace the field in the boys race and led the Lakers to a fourth-place finish in the team standings while Fougerousse clocked a 20:20 to earn runner-up honors and pace the Lady Lakers to a fifth-place showing.
Barr-Reeve (63) topped the field in the girls race followed by Princeton (65), Sullivan (71), Shakamak (74), Mitchell (79) and Shoals (119). Washington, Loogootee and Owen Valley were unable to post team scores.
Barr-Reeve (32) also earned the top spot in the boys race. They were followed by Washington (60), MItchell (87), Princeton (103), Shakamak (120), Sullivan (165), Shoals (181), Loogootee (216) and Owen Valley (243). North Daviess didn't have enough runners to post a team score.
Also competing for Shakamak in the boys race were Tyler Richardson (18:51) who placed 18th, Scott McNabb 32nd (20:21), Brodie Crowe 34th (20:42), Brock Dowell 38th (21:05), Dylan Phipps 42nd (21:22) and John Smith ran the 3.1 miles in 22:25, good for 53rd.
Finishing behind Fougerousse for the Lady Lakers were Megan Phipps 12th (22:56), Elise Miller 17th (24:21), Cassandra Holdaway 29th (25:36), Alison Miller 31st (26:06) and Erica Enstrom was 42nd (30:34).
Shakamak returns to the course Thursday when they join Union (Dugger) in a triangular meet at North Daviess beginning at 5 p.m.
