EGMS wins

The Eastern Greene Middle School boys' and girls' cross country teams swept a triangular meet with Orleans and Mitchell Wednesday.

In the boys' race it was the Thunderbirds (32) followed by Mitchell (40) and Orleans (51) paced by a third place finish from Keith Ringer (12:22).

Logan Hudson (4th), Wesley Lagenour (6th), Justin Tatum (8th) and Chance French (11th) completed the Thunderbird contingent.

The girls race saw the Lady T-Birds post a team total 29 behind a first place finish by Savanna Spice (13:32).

Mitchell (48) was second and Orleans (72) was third.

Hannah Resler (5th), Marly Southern (6th), Sierra New (8th), Ashley Osborn (9th), Amy Todd (10th), Tabby Tatum (11th), Katie Morguson (13th), Cassidy Laubsch (15th), Sidnee Johnson (16th), Angel Sherrard (17th), Lily Haines (21st), Abbi Shell (24th), Erin Holsapple (25th), MaKayla King (29th) and Lexi Mays (31st) rounded out the roster for Eastern Greene.

Both teams return to action September 15 when they host Bedford and Oolitic.
