Born February 29, 1944 in Linton, he was the son of David Joseph II and Mary Lou (Johnson) Leveque.
He was a electronics technician for NSWC Crane retiring in 1994 after 30 years of service. He was the owner and operator of Dave's Satellite from 1984 - 1998. He served his country in the Vietnam era in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the honor guard for President John F. Kennedy's funeral ceremony.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Nancy (Jackson) Leveque, whom he married December 8, 1962; one daughter, Renee and her husband Danny Workman of Solsberry; one son, David J. Leveque IV and wife Kelly of Needmore; one brother, Gary D. Leveque of Springville; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Danielle, Josh, and Dalton.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Kenneth Adams and Rev. Jim Dwyer officiating. Interment will follow in Owensburg cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
