Edrie C. Griffith, 82, of Linton, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Linton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born June 29, 1927, in Lorain, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas A. & Minnie (Roeder) Stone.

She worked at General Electric in Linton for 34 years. She was a member of the First Church of God in Linton and a past member of the Salvation Army.

Survivors include her son, Dana (Vickie) Scott Thomas, Sr. of Owensburg, four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold H. Griffith, Oct. 28, 1985, & a sister, Opal Ruth Yazel.

Funeral servic will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday after 10 a.m. Thursday.
