Mae Lewis

Mae Lewis, 84, of Linton, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family at 4:02 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

She was born May 4, 1925 in Vincennes, the daughter of James and Ida (Brogan) Archer.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post No. 22 in Linton and the Linton Moose Lodge.

She is survived by daughters, Diane Dale and Linda Mize; a sister, Mossie Meier; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Hymera First Baptist Church.

The funeral will be Tuesday at the church with Pastor Mark Akers officiating. Internment will be in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn.

Mattox-McHugh Funeral Home in Shelburn assisted with the arrangements.
