He was born February 24, 1957 in Linton to Wilson and Marie (Ley) Baker.
Leon was a farmer, carpenter and truck driver. He graduated from Clay City High School in 1975.
He is survived by two sisters, Janice "Jan" Newsom, Bloomington; Willa Jean "Bootsie" (Daryl) Osberg, Southlake, Texas; one brother, Terry (Camille) Baker, Rome, GA; four nieces, Cari Newsom, Lori Newsom, Amy Newsom, Jessica Osberg, twp nephews, Jason and Justin Osberg; three great nieces Jade, Chloe and Ava, great nephew, Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 11 a.m. Monday with Matt Baker officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
