Pruett, an exercise science major at Ball State University, will be a junior this fall. She's also a member of the golf team.
Pruett has a two-year cumulative grade-point average of 3.751.
The criteria for selection to the team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, according to the National Golf Coaches Association. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent (Div. I) or 66 percent (Div. II and III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Pruett competed in all 34 competitive rounds for the Cardinals in the fall and spring seasons, finishing with a 78.88 scoring average. She improved her scoring average from her freshman year by 2.3 strokes.
She was named the team's Most Improved Player at the end-of-the-year banquet in May.
Pruett had a career-low 73 twice this past season.
