Less than two months ago, the fireworks fund had about $650 and needed a total of $8,500 to reach last year's amount, noted Chamber Member Dan Sichting.
But that has changed.
"Now we're doing pretty good. People have stepped up to help," explained Chamber Secretary Jenny Crites. "Thanks to all that have donated."
This year's fireworks show will be at dusk on Saturday at the town park. The show will last 30 to 45 minutes and a rain date has been set for dusk on Sunday.
"Several people come to the park to watch the fireworks ... and some people park near (State Road) 54 ... or you can sit in your backyard and watch," she added.
A lot of people look forward to the town's fireworks show as well as the Lion's Club food -- which will again be offered during the event.
"It's a fun, safe place to go on the Fourth of July and an annual tradition for families," Crites added.
Please be patient afterwards as the traffic may be a bit heavier than normal.
A total on the fireworks fund will be available during today's meeting of the Chamber.
