There is always trouble when the carnival comes to town. I don't mean the carnival brings in trouble but more trouble always happen at the carnival. It brings out the best in some!
So, in other words your saying that the carnival does bring in trouble?
What I'm saying is the carnival itself is not trouble but there are more people in the park at the time of the carnival and it seems to bring out the "best" in some of the visitors. I have nothing against the carnival and I have enjoyed it in the past but it always seems like there are fights at the carnival and has been for years. It is like the ole saying goes "one bad apple spoils the barrel."
Something like this happens at fairs, carnivals you name it.Get 50 or more people in the same place and there will be one jack@$$.
well they should just stop having this
The crowd mentality. Back in the late sixties & seventies, small carnivals had the same connotations of "a dark side". We went anyway. Except no one took knifes.
I'm sure many people enjoy the festivities (especially children). Opting out of having the carnival doesn't eliminate the person(s) potential to be a troublemaker somewhere. I don't think Linton lacks for trouble when there is no carnival.
It's not the carnival persea, but anytime you get a croud and alot of it are young guys and girls. the testosterone, young guys, and young girls, deffinately a mixture for showing off and doing things you wouldn't normaly do.
my kids love the carnival and it would be an outrage to not have it anymore, I think there should be more security at the park during this time of year..
the linton carnival has gone from a time honored tradition to a criminals week long vacation. I personlly dread the coming of the carnival because of all the crime that leeches on to it. its no longer fun, but rather a thorn in the side of those not wanting knifed going to their cars. Its time for the carnival to take ride elsewhere
I think that there needs to be more security. It would be very sad for the carnival not to come. Children look forward to it. I hope people can learn to control themselves.
This report concerns one individual dumb enough to allegedly threaten a juvenile with a weapon.
No where does it say the carnival will be canceled or not return to next year's celebration.
