Linton police trying to find out what happened in a recent fight

Monday, June 29, 2009
Linton police officers responded to the scene of a fight in progress on Friday evening but after they arrived, the person who originally made the complaint said they did not want any charges filed.

LPD Officer Heath Murray was on the scene at Glenburn Road and 9th St. around 8:35 p.m.

LPD Chief Troy Jerrell also responded to assist.

According to Officer Murray's police report, during an altercation, a female who reported the fight had been pulling her boyfriend away from a vehicle.

When the male driver pulled away and the vehicle reportedly ran over the woman's foot in the process.

The report states that when the driver was questioned, he said he did not know that he had run over the victim's foot.

The driver and others on the scene were given statements to fill out, but as of Sunday evening, only one witness had completed their statement.
