Abernathy resigns as BHS AD

Bloomfield High School's athletic director Monica Abernathy has resigned after just one year on the job.

Abernathy confirmed her resignation Monday afternoon via text message.

The resignation will become official Thursday night when the Bloomfield School District board meets.

The latest hire will be the fourth AD in the past four school years, following Andy Ross, Rick Hudson and Abernathy.
