Activity Report

The Linton Police Department responded on Thursday to one property damage accident, one harassment complaint, one medical/illness, one theft-other and one disabled/stranded vehicle. The department also had one information only request, one utility assist, one extra patrol and one traffic stop.

* June 11 -- John Stevenson, 302 E. Shanklin St., Jasonville, reported the theft of his cell phone. The item disappeared while Shanklin was swimming at Blue Hole -- it was located in his clothes on top of a hill. The cell phone is a black LG Vu.

* June 12 -- Leslie K. Smith, 51, of Bloomfield, was arrested by Greene County Deputy Çhris McDonald for battery with injury -- A misdemeanor, resisting law enforcement -- A misdemeanor, and escape -- C felony. She is being held on a $12,000 bond.

* Jesse S. West, 29, Coalmont, was arrested by Greene County Deputy Brad Deckard on a body attachment. He is being held in the Greene County Jail with $3,000 a bond.
