Ola J. Burris

Ola J. Burris, 72, Vincennes, passed away at her residence on Saturday, May 16, 2009.

Ola was born on Jan. 31, 1937, the daughter of William and Allie (Ramer) Matthews. She married Raymond "Junior" Burris and he passed away on August 21, 1986.

Ola was a homemaker.

Survivors include: two sons, Todd Burris of Vincennes, Nick Burris of Midland; one sister, Mary Ditto of Walnut Ridge, AR, nine grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.

Ola was preceded in death by her son, Tim Burris; two sisters, Ada Arnett and Margaret Day; and two brothers, William and Matt Matthews.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, with Pastor Carol Halderman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton with the funeral party arriving at 2:30 p.m.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
