He was born December 5, 1949, to Ivan and Jocelyn (Parks) Alexander. On September 20, 1997, he married Beavely Chambers.
Jeffrey was a member of the American Legion Post #22 and VFW Post #7118. He was an operating engineer with Local #841 and worked as a security officer with Owen Detective Agency until he retired. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Marines.
Survivors include his wife, Beavely Alexander; daughter, Jolie Alexander of Linton; son, Royce Alexander of Linton; and step-sons Robert Murley of Jasonville and Michael Murley of South Carolina; a brother, Mark R. Alexander of Marion, IL; and sisters Jean Ann (Bill) Fisher of Sullivan, Mary L. (Daryl) Shorter of Carlisle and Jennifer J. (Kevin) Hahn of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009, at the Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan. Full military rites will be given by The American Legion Post #22.
The Alexander Family has entrusted these arrangements with the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
