Steve R. Lantrip

Steve R. Lantrip, 56, of Sullivan, passed away at 4:30AM Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born in Greene County, June 10, 1952 to Noble Lantrip and Mary Dale Lantrip.

Steve was a correctional officer at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, and a member of the Cruiser Club.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Dale Lantrip, also one sister Diane Stevens.

Survivors include: his father Noble Lantrip of Indianapolis; four sons, Jon Lantrip (Jennifer), Steven H. Lantrip (Toni) Brian Lantrip (Jodi), all of Jasonville and Steve R. Lantrip II (Billie) of Sullivan; one daughter, Elizabeth Crock of Washington; one brother, John Lantrip of New Palestine; one sister, Beverly Lantrip of Kokomo; and 22 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday March 11, 2009 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan with Rev. Dan Dyer officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
