She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Washington, Ind., the daughter of Leslie F. and Lova (Karr) Hamersly.
She worked as a secretary and accountant at Curtis Wright Industry and for George E. Greene & Company for 20 years. She was a member of the Linton First United Methodist Church, attended Saron United Church of Christ in Linton, was a 1941 graduate of Indiana University, receiving the Mortar Board Honorary, was a member of Pi Beta Phi at I.U., and was a member of the DAR and Tri Kappa.
Survivors include: a daughter, Kay Lynn Bennett of Indianapolis; two sons, William Craig (Sue) Collisson of Santa Barbara, CA, and John Leslie (Karen) Collisson of Linton; a brother, James L. (Betty) Hamersly of Washington; two grandchildren, Samantha Erin (Michael) VanScoik and Patrick Ian Collisson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. William H. Collisson in 1987; and a sister, Margie Neumann.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m. Saturday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday.
