THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD WARNING FOR... GREENE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA... SULLIVAN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA... CLAY COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... FOUNTAIN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... OWEN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... PARKE COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... VERMILLION COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... VIGO COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF TERRE HAUTE... WARREN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... * UNTIL 715 PM EST WEDNESDAY * AT 909 AM EST HEAVY RAIN COVERED MOST OF THE WARNING AREA. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED. FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED. HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS WATER COVERED BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW WATER CROSSINGS. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD WARNING FOR THE EEL RIVER AT BOWLING GREEN. * FROM THIS EVENING TO FRIDAY MORNING...OR UNTIL THE WARNING IS CANCELLED. * AT 9:00 AM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE WAS 10.2 FEET. * MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST. * FLOOD STAGE IS 17.0 FEET. * FORECAST...RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR 19.9 FEET BY THURSDAY MORNING. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY THURSDAY EVENING.
