Howell's to celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. & Mrs. Walter Howell of Midland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 15 with family and friends. The Howells were married Feb. 17, 1959 in Coal City by the Rev. John Axe.

Mrs. Howell is the former Sally Bowersock. She worked for 12 years at Murray's Plumbing & Heating. Mr. Howell worked 19 years as an electrician before starting his own business, Howell Auto Sales, which he ran for 19 years.

The couple has two daughters, Tammy Griffith and husband Greg of Bicknell, and Becky Howell of Cookville, Tenn. They also have five grandchildren Eric Griffith, Brad Griffith, Jessica Judd, Chris Deschamp and Terry Deschamp. They have four great-grandchildren Bryce Shacklett, Cohen Griffith, Olivia Griffith, Elijah Deschamp and Lilly Deschamp.
