He was born Nov. 30, 1911
Dowden and Cynthia (Stalcup) Jackson in Owensburg.
A U.S. Army World War II veteran. he was a fork lift operator for G.M. Central Foundry in Bedford. He
attended Worthington Baptist Church and was a
75 year member of Solsberry Masonic Lodge, and a 75 year member of the Solsberry Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Juana L. Jackson, Evansville; one son, Robert O. Jackson, Bloomington; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Jackson, Bloomfield; two step-sons, Dick Marenhotz and Dwayne Marenhotz, both of Evansville, five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maud E. Jackson on Feb. 28, 1981; his second wife, Opal Thompson Jackson on May 1987; one son son, Joseph W. Jackson on March 3, 1997; two sisters, Essie Burnette and Ophia Voorhess ; and a sister, Ruth Voorhess
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A Masonic Lodge service will be conducted Thursday evening.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Beckelheimer officiating.
Burial will be in Owensburg Cemetery
