A Linton teenager and Lyons man were both treated for minor injuries at the scene of an accident in Linton on Wednesday afternoon.
At about 4 p.m., William Hooker, 17, of Linton, pulled out in front of a White River Valley Coop truck driven by Henry Souders of Lyons.
Souders was traveling east on State Road 54 when Hooker pulled out from 5th St. NE into the path of the truck.
Hooker was driving a green S10 truck.
According to the Linton Police Department report, the Linton Fire Department was called to the scene because the Coop truck from Loogootee was carrying LP gas. The report stated that no gas leaked out.
LPD officers Karl Jacobshagen and Heath Murray, along with LPD reserve officer Harry Hovey, worked the accident. The rescue truck from the Linton Fire Department was also dispatched.

Can you try to explain that to your agent now??
17yrs old - pulling out of agents drive-- hmmm, hope he did not brag about his driving skills.
Henry, I hope you are OK.
If I was ever in an accident, I would want it to be in front of my father's office so he could be one of the first responders.
His father is the insurance agent. Their great people. It's anything but funny when a teenager is in an accident. There should be mandatory in-depth drivers ed courses in every state. The instruction they get now is a joke.I believe it is 6 hours behind the wheel or some ridiculous amount. This should be a high school course for an entire year in my opinion.
William-
I hope you are ok. And for all of those people who are saying hateful mean jokes... I think it is very rude and disrespectful what everyone is saying. What if it was one of your loved ones who got in a bad wreck? Have some respect. And William if you are reading this your family loves you and everyone is thinking about you!
Love,
Your Cousin Tiffany
"It just made me laugh"
Had it been a loved one of yours would you have laughed?
