Rosie L. Rodgers

Rosie L. Rodgers, 73, of Linton, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Southwood Rehab Center in Terre Haute.

She was born in Linden, VA on Oct. 23, 1935.

She worked several jobs in her life including working for the Prince Georges County, Maryland Police Department as a crossing guard, and worked along the side of her husband who was a minister for several years.

She is survived by three sons, Charles J. Rodgers, Jr. of Terre Haute, Steven N. Rodgers of Elnora, and Mark K. Rodgers of Linton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles J. Rodgers, Sr. on June 13, 2006; three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12.

Burial will follow at the Friendly Grove Cemetery, north of Coalmont.

Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
