Shakamak (4-9) led 14-6 at the half before pushing its advantage to 33-15 going to the fourth period.
"The third quarter really was the key," said Shakamak coach Troy Fougerousse. "Both teams struggled in the first half, but we played a little better defense and hit a few more shots.
"The third quarter was the turning point in the game. We were able to push the ball up and down the floor and get some easy baskets."
Marki Collins, who has been out of the line-up since early December with with a fractured eye socket, tossed in a game-high 14 points to pace the Lady Lakers.
"I was glad to have Marki back," said Fougerousse. "She was fairly productive despite have to play two to three minutes at a time before having to get a breather.
"Hopefully we will get Marki and Kristi Pearson (who had missed the first 10 games with health problems) back near 100 percent in the near future. They are both working their way back into shape."
The Lady Lakers will host North Daviess in a Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference game at 6 p.m. Monday.
