BLOOMINGTON -- Lt. Paul Bucher, Commander of the Bloomington Indiana State Police Post, announced that three recent Indiana State Police Academy graduates are now working in the area.

Probationary Troopers Adam Davis, Julie Meisel, and Kent Rohlfing have been assigned to the Bloomington Post.

Davis will be assigned to Greene County for patrol duties when he finishes his field training.

Meisel will be assigned to Monroe County and Rohlfing will work out of Owen County.

Davis is a 1998 graduate of Wabash High School. He served eight years in the United States Marine Corps. During his tour of duty in the Marines, he served in the Infantry and Anti-Terrorism Units.

He resides in Linton with his wife and three children.

These probationary troopers graduated from the Indiana State Police recruit school on Dec. 18.

While at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, trooper candidates received approximately 878 hours of structured training in law enforcement techniques since the class began on June 15. The curriculum included 85 hours of criminal law instruction, 80 hours of vehicle operations training, and 30 hours of psychology training.

Probationary Troopers Davis, Meisel and Rohlfing will now participate in a 14-week field training program where they will be assigned to veteran trooper trainers and apply the knowledge and skills learned at the academy in field situations. They will receive their patrol cars upon successful completion of their 14-week field training program.
