Swtiz City conducts first council meeting of 2009

Monday, January 5, 2009

At a brief Switz City Town Council meeting Monday evening, Council President Don Blanton said he had contacted the owner of a burned trailer and was told the trailer couldn't be moved because of extensive damage.

However, the owner said she would have it torn down and the property replaced with another trailer.

Joe Graves, of Graves Plumbing, reported that he replaced a water line for a resident who hadn't had adequate water pressure since new lines were installed.

Graves said the line was damaged during installation and was not the home owner's responsibility.

Sewer Superintendent Dave Fish reported that everything was going well at the sewer plant.

The council voted to keep the same day and time for 2009 council meetings. The council meets the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the town hall.

If they would put that trailer in Don's yard he would never be able to find it! He gripes about other property owners yard, but what about his?
