Greene County Sheriff's Lt. Bryan Woodall responded to the scene of the accident around 5:44 a.m. in Grant Township.
According to an accident report, Heath failed field sobriety tests and also failed a certified breath test -- he registered .15 BAC (blood-alcohol content).
He was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Heath was southbound on County Road 800W south of Baseline in a 2006 Hummer H3 when the accident occurred. He told the officer he fell asleep and ran off the west side of the road. The Hummer struck a utility pole and broke it.
No injuries were reported.
Personnel responded to the scene from the Lyons Police Department, Linton Police Department, Switz City Fire Department, and Greene County Ambulance Service.
