Frederick (Ray) Ridge, Sr.

Frederick (Ray) Ridge, Sr., 83, of Leavenworth, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 at Harrison County Hospital.

Born Oct. 25, 1924 in Deuchars, IN, he was the son of Albert and Edna Kemp Ridge.

He was a 1943 graduate of Leavenworth High School. A member of the Leavenworth Presbyterian Church, he was a retired farmer and also retired from Soss Manufacturing. He was a member of the Leavenworth Masonic Lodge No. 188.

Survivors include his wife, Helen (Towers) Ridge of Leavenworth; children, Frederick Ray Ridge, Jr. (Billie Fish) of Linton, Sharon Kay Broughton (Bob) of Marengo and Stanley Albert Ridge (Mary Armstrong) of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Tim Ridge, Andrea Ridge Alltop, Kimberly Broughton Miller, Rick Ridge, Megan Ridge Timberlake, William Ridge, Amanda Ridge Brinson, Paul Broughton and Edna Ridge Campbell; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Sherman Ridge (Leah Ann White).

Visitation will be conducted from 3-7:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 9-11 a.m. and after noon Thursday at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo. A Masonic Service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Leavenworth Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be at Leavenworth Memorial Gardens.
