The driver, Kelly Webb, 36, of High Springs, Fla., was entrapped in the vehicle and was extricated by rescue personnel from the Worthington-Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department.
Webb was injured and complained of shoulder, stomach and head pain. She was transported to Greene County General Hospital by the Greene County Ambulance Service.
Two teenage passengers were also transported to the hospital - Jesse Hunt, 15, was taken in for an examination and Amber Hunt, 17, reported having back pain.
Webb was driving a 2007 Ford Escape eastbound on County Road 700N, also known as Terre Haute Rd., west of CR 500W in Smith Township when the accident occurred at 6:54 p.m.
Greene County Sheriff Terry Pierce reported Webb approached a curve in the road traveling too fast.
The vehicle began to skid out of control for approximately 105 feet then struck a dirt embankment on the south side of the county road.
The vehicle then overturned and skidded onto the north side of the road and struck another embankment before coming to rest on its side, on the driver's side door.
Pierce was the investigating officer.
Worthington Deputy Marshal Eric Floyd and Reserve Officer Chad Green also responded to the scene along with GCSD Deputy Leon Dunigan, two ambulances and crews from the Greene County Ambulance Service and the WJ Volunteer Fire Department.
