Police are still looking for another man, John Kevin Irons, who is wanted on a felony warrant in connection with the same investigation.
The long list of preliminary charges filed Tuesday afternoon against Faught in Greene Superior Court included: dealing in a Schedule III controlled substance, a class B felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony; dealing in a Schedule III controlled substance, a class B felony; aiding in dealing a Schedule II controlled substance, a class B felony; dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, a class C felony; dealing in methamphetamine, a class B felony; and conspiracy to commit dealing in methamphetamine, a class B felony - for a total of one class D, one class C and five class B felonies.
One preliminary charge was filed against Irons, also in Greene Superior Court - dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, a class C felony.
After all charges were filed and approved by the court, arrest warrants were promptly issued for both men. Faught was apprehended by police officers, taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail. He was booked in around 6:30 p.m. and is currently being held without bond. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the arresting officer.
According to probable cause affidavits filed in both cases, the investigation into Faught's alleged dealing has been going on since last summer.
Faught is accused of completing numerous drug transactions - selling both pills and methamphetamine to either a confidential informant or an undercover officer on numerous occasions. Faught is also accused of assisting in other transactions involving both Irons and a 17-year-old male juvenile. The affidavit says Irons is a brother-in-law to Faught.
In one case, Faught allegedly sold ten white pills stamped "Watson 385" for $30 - they were identified as Hydrocodone, a Schedule III controlled substance. Later, Faught allegedly sold another 10 of the same pills for $30.
In another deal, Faught allegedly said he was out of pills but the juvenile, who was present, had some and the juvenile allegedly then sold four white pills stamped "54/543" - they were identified as Roxicet, a Schedule II controlled substance.
In yet another deal, Faught and Irons together are alleged to have sold 16 blue pills stamped with "E64" for $30 - those were identified as Clonazepam, a Schedule IV controlled substance.
At another time, Faught and the juvenile were allegedly involved in selling a gram of methamphetamine for $100.
An arrangement made at a later date to obtain another gram of methamphetamine involved an exchange of pseudoephedrine pills for methamphetamine.
According to the affidavit, the exchange deal was set up in a telephone conversation with Faught but the pills were actually delivered to the juvenile. The methamphetamine was then supposed to be manufactured and in return for the pills, the juvenile was to deliver one gram of meth the next morning. However, the juvenile was later apprehended and found to be in possession of the pseudoephedrine pills. The affidavit states the juvenile, during an interview at the Jasonville Police Department with a parent present, admitted that methamphetamine was going to be manufactured.
