Knox County native John R. Gregg will sign copies of his new book, "From Sandborn to the Statehouse," on Dec. 18 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at Vincennes University's Beckes Student Union.

A former Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives and former VU president, Gregg is a gentleman farmer, lawyer, lobbyist, and legendary storyteller.

The event will be hosted by VU President Dick Helton and the public is invited to attend. Copies of the book will be available. Books may also be purchased online from the publisher at

www.newcenturypublishing.org.

The Association of Indiana Counties touts the book as "touching, entertaining, uplifting, and informative. If you enjoy Garrison Keillor, you will love John Gregg's book. John is the consummate storyteller, leaving the reader feeling better about life, and better informed about Indiana politics. His book is a reminder of how things used to be, and how good they are yet to become."

I lived in Sandborn for several years too! I can't wait to read the book. My dad would have been so proud of John had he lived to see everything John has accomplished. I love seeing small town "kids" do well.
