Kenneth A. Harris

Kenneth A. Harris, 67, of Bloomfield, passed away at 3:38 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born Dec. 12, 1940 in Greene County, he was the son of Clarence and Lois (Ledgerwood) Harris.

He was retired from the Army and a member of the DAV and Bloomfield American Legion Post No. 196.

Surviving relatives include: a daughter, Katrina Kershaw, of Worthington; two sons, Jon Harris of Springville and Shawn Harris of Bloomington; two sisters, Althea Caraway of Bloomfield and Christina Riggle of Bloomfield; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, and several uncles.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7 and from noon Monday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday Dec. 8 at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery. Military Graveside service will be done by Bloomfield American Legion Post# 196.
