Born January 8, 1929 in Park County.
He was retired from Lone Star Industries after 38 years. He was of the United Methodist faith and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Rita Sullivan Allen of Cloverdale; his children Philip Allen and his wife Kim of Wawaka, IN and Debra Mitchell and her husband Duane of Franklin; six grandchildren, one brother, Sam Allen and his wife, Karen of Bell Union; three sister-in-laws Kay Sullivan Oliphant of Bloomfield, Indiana; Vera Sullivan Cox of Greencastle and Virginia Allen of Plainfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Fulp officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Cemetery.
The family wishes all donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
