He was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Switz City to William and Tressa (Hunter) Frye.
He retired from Independent Concrete Pipe Company in Indianapolis.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a Baptist and member of Switz City Masonic Lodge F. & A. M., Valley of Indianapolis Shrine, Eastern Star, West Newton.
He is survived by his wife, Thira (Wright) Frye, Switz City; two children, Ronald (Kay) Frye, Indianapolis and Ruth (John) Lantrip, New Palestine; one grandchild, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Gerkin, Greenwood; two step-sons, Robert (Carol) Pollock and Steven (Mary) Pollock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Switz City Full Gospel Church with Bro. Sam Hill and Billy Ed Hostettler officiating.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m. Monday, until time of service at the church.
Burial will be in Switz City Cemetery.
