Joan Rose

Joan Rose, 77, of Rt. 2, Worthington, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center Jasonville.

She was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Greene County to Lagonia Eph and Cecil (Flynn) Kirkpatrick.

She was a homemaker and a member of Switz City Full Gospel Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Rose, Rt. 2 Worthington; four daughters, Mary (Charles) Miller, Worthington; Jackie (Ed) Michael, Bloomfield; Susie Emery, Franklin; Carol (Steve) Axsom, Jasonville; six grandchildren, John Michael, David Miller, Stacy Thompson, Carrie Fish, Trish Turner and Justin Axsom; nine great grandchildren, Mackenzi, Dakota, Sam, Cole, Addison, Logan, Kyleigh, Caleb & Emily; one brother, Raymond Kirkpatrick, Hudsonville, IL; three sisters, Grace Brown, Worthington; Mona Kay Irons, Jasonville; Rosemary Reynolds, Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; two brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at Switz City Full Gospel Church, 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. David Miller officiating.

Friends may call at the church 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington.
