He retired from General Electric and also had been employed by Studebaker. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he served in the Korean Conflict member of the American Legion Post No. 22.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laszlo and Mary Nemeth, his wife Joan Nemeth, children James, Mary, Joseph, Nicholas, and John Robert, sisters Elizabeth Kraft, Mary Ozdyck, Josephine Nemeth and Julia Varga, and brothers Leslie Nemeth and Joseph Nemeth.
Surviving are his son Vincent Nemeth of Linton; Cheryl Conway of Rincon, GA and Theresa Farren of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Shane Stone, Sierra Conway, Shannon Conway, and Jill Conway, all of Rincon GA, Adam Farren (USN) of Norfolk, VA, and Nicholas Farren of Austin, TX.
Private services will be held with burial in Highland Cemetery.
Zahoran Funeral Home, of South Bend, is handling the arrangements.
