Lady Bulldogs lose at Loogootee

Loogootee defeated visiting Union (Dugger) 25-11, 25-7, 25-16 in a non-conference high school volleyball match Monday night.

The loss was the 15th in 20 contests for the Lady Bulldogs.

"We definitely did not play our potential," said Union (Dugger) coach Becky Borter. "We are not playing the way we need to be playing the week before the sectional.

"We are just have a tough time right now with the mental aspect of the game."

Freshman Taylor Woods was 7-for-7 serving and finished with three points, one ace, one kill and one dig. Chelsea Anderson had two digs.

Jessica Davidson had seven digs and one points. She was 6 of 6 on serve.

Ashli Scott was 4 of 4 on serve. She contributed two kills, one block and six digs. Cassie Parr had nine digs, three kills, one block and one point on 3 of 4 serving.

Shayna Nicol missed once in 12 attempts on serve. The southpaw tallied seven points, one ace, one kill and seven digs.

Megan Gambill was 1 of 3 serving with seven kills, two blocks, three digs and six assists.

The Lady Bulldogs will host North Knox in another varsity-only match Tuesday. The contest will start at 5:30 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than previously scheduled.
