He was born in Linton on Oct. 25, 1945, the son of Lewis and Marietta (Holder) Gage.
He served in the United States Army Medical Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Greene County Home Health Care in Linton. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of the American Legion Post #22 & the B.P.O. Elks #866, both of Linton.
He is survived by his mother of Linton; his daughter, Nicole R. Gage of Indianapolis; a sister, Linda (Joe) Hash of Linton; a brother, Norman (Dorcas) Gage of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, nephews & nieces, Paul Hash, Tina Lillie, Sandi Tschudny, Mike & Opie Gage, & David & Misty Allen, and several great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. with military honors given at 5:30 p.m. by the American Legion Post #22.
A private committal service will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
