Northview tops Miners in tennis title match

Northview won its third consecutive boys tennis sectional championship, defeating Linton-Stockton 5-0 in match played at Northview High School Saturday morning.

The Knights repeated its 5-0 victory over the Miners (6-11) during the regular season. Northview also beat Linton-Stockton 5-0 in the title match in 2007.

It was the ninth sectional championship for Northview, who has also won in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1998 and 1999.

The Miners lone sectional title in boys tennis came in 2004.
