Born Dec. 12, 1944 at the old Freeman Hospital in Linton, he was the son of Clayton W. "Screwdriver" & Mildred (Minks) Frye.
He retired from General Electric in Linton as a machine Ooperator. He was currently working at Baxter's in Bloomington. He was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church and he loved racing and formerly coached in the Bloomfield Girl's Softball League.
Surviving relatives include his wife Connie I. Frye of Bloomfield; four children, Robert Troy Frye of Bloomfield, Kylee Nicole Frye of Bloomfield, Jackie Vest (Shawn) of Solsberry, and Chris Hudson (Jackie) of Solsberry; 10 grandchildren, Heath Ison, Tyralee Nicole Frye, Kyra Irene Frye, Dylan Frye, Kaitlynn Hudson, Garrett Vest, Emily Hudson, Jaylen Bry Mullen, Kylyn Gwengale Harper, William Christopher Hudson; one great-granddaughter, Skylan Ison; two brothers, Donald Wayne Frye Sr. of Solsberry and Larry Joe Frye of Bloomfield; one sister, Linda Alsman of Linton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald Eugene Frye; and one sister, Nina Pearl Pentecost.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. until the hour on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Interment will be at Ridgeport Cemetery near Bloomfield.
