Born June 26, 1918 in Linton, she was the daughter of James Byron and Hersel Marie (Carpenter) Pickett.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Furnace Christian Church and the Furnace Ladies Aid.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Susan Jo Holtsclaw (Loren) of Bloomfield; three sons, Stephen Charles Floyd (SuYong) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jerry Morton Floyd, Sr. (Rose) of Glen Allen, Virginia, and Darwin Elsworth Floyd of New Richmond; nine grandchildren and several great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Floyd on Sept. 24, 1989, parents, two infant brothers, one great-grandchild, and her stepmother, Martha Pickett.
Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one-hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
